APC’s Abdulrazaq Is Winner of Governorship Poll In Kwara- INEC Declares

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Sunday, declared Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State the winner of the 2023, governorship election in the state.

The INEC Returning officer for the 2023 gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections conducted on Saturday, March,18, Vice Chancellor of the University of Markurdi, Benue state, Professor Isaac Itodo, has declaared Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, winner of the election.

He said AbdulRazaq scored the two-third votes needed to win the contest and won in all the 16 local government areas of the state in the election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), declared Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, of Kwara State the winner of the 2023, governorship election in the state.

The governor won the election for the second term of another four years in office, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Professor Isaac Itodo, while declaring AbdulRazaq winner of the election, said he scored the two-third votes needed to win the contest and won in all the 16 local government areas of the state in the election.

Abdulrazaq polled 273,424 votes to beat his closest rival, Alhaji Yaman Abdullahi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 155,490 votes in the election.

The INEC, on Saturday night started announcing the 2023 governorship election results, with only three local government areas, which the governor cleared the three local government areas of Ekiti, Isin and Offa local government areas.

At the resumed calling of the election results on Sunday, the APC governor won additional 13 local government areas.
