Emefiele Granted N300 Million Bail
Former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Governor, Godwin Emefiele, was on Wednesday, granted bail in the sum of N300 million, by an FCT High Court.
Former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Governor, Godwin Emefiele, was on Wednesday, granted bail in the sum of N300 million, by an FCT High Court.
The presiding Judge, Justice Hamza Muazu also ordered Emefiele to produce two sureties in like sum.
According to Muazu, the sureties must have certificates of occupancy and titles of properties within the Maitama District.
Muazu also said Emefiele should deposit all his travel documents with the registrar of the court and must remain within the Abuja Municipal Council.
Emefiele is expected to remain in Kuje Correctional Centre till he perfects the bail conditions.
Before now, the axed CBN Governor, was granted bail in the sum of N20 million, by the Federal High Court Sitting in Lagos, four months ago.
